STAFF BIOS
RACHEL WEISS CCP/SLP
Rachel Weiss CCC/SLP earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and Reading Remediation. She holds two masters degrees, and MA in Speech and Language Pathology and an MS in Special Education. She also holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, New York and Connecticut Licenses in Speech Pathology, Special Education and an NYS Certification as Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped.
Before entering full time private practice, she spent 12 years as a Teacher of Speech Improvement, Teacher Trainer and Speech, Language and Reading Specialist for the NYC Department of Education. She also served as a consultant to the St. Mary's Children's hospital before entering full time private practice.
She has over 15 years experience treating children and adults who exhibit a myriad of hearing impairments, speech, language, voice, fluency and developmental disabilities (ADD/ADHD). She is an expert diagnostician and clinician who ensure that all patients meet and exceed potential and expectations through a variety of therapeutic approaches.
CHRISTINE SALOMON, M.A./OTR/L
Christine Salomon, M.A. OTR/L, earned a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from New York University in 1999 . She holds a license to practice OT in both NYS and Connecticut. She has spent her entire career working within the area of pediatrics in various therapeutic settings including school, home, and clinically-based programs. Christine has experience treating children with different types of delays. She has a broad knowledge of treatment modalities and scopes of practice including fine motor skills, handwriting, cognitive skills (following directions & attention span), visual motor/perception and sensory integration.
Christine has also served as a consultant to St. Mary's Hospital. Before entering private practice, Christine worked as a senior therapist in the NYC Department of Education.
Christine has been very involved in the training and supervision of therapists utilizing sensory integrative concepts.
